SUMQUI expresses himself through digital art, painting and stencil.
Due to cruel social relations, his intense internal questioning is far from superficial reflections on the beauty of colour.
His universe seems to come from a sacred inspiration.
The expressions in his artwork have sometimes made him a stranger in his own creations. He is the instrument for his own expressions that imperatively need to be shared.
Almost as if his eyes and hands were guided.
He does not do, he is.
A storm has taken him on an impossible resolution of contradictions between the need for doing good and the unfortunate reality of obstacles inherent to the human spirit.
His physical pain penetrates his body and gives his artwork a welcomed anxiety, as the suffering awakens above all an intense truth.
The color red covers pain, black is the reality of tortured souls, blue and purple measures the importance of spirituality in search of an unknown yet possible harmony. Finally green represents hope and the belief in a possible future.
The method of traditional paintings is far from his artistic universe. Through his colors, shapes and lighting, SUMQUI. looks to completely evolve the traditional concept of numerical expression.
The artwork is a reflection of prolonged absences, not only through pain, but unconsciense and devastating guilt.
He cries out for silence!
